Composition refers to the way various elements in the scene are arranges within a frame. Any rule of composition is to draw the eye into a photo

Framing:

Framing is uses elements of a scene to create the frame. E.g I used the fence to highlight the main subject in my photo.

Rule of thirds:

Rule of thirds is a guideline that applies to the process of composing visual images.

Vantage point:

Vantage point is the location, position, the photo is taken from. when the photographer.

Subject:

The story is created around this subject. It’s no different with a still image. Every photo has its lead character, called the subject which a photo is created by.

These are my best photos because they all have a compositional rule. IMG_0171

The piano keys have reflected off the the paint work this caused the compositional rule of symmetry. This photo is black and white due the colours of the piano. This photo has low contrast due to the colours that are in the image. This photo was taken inside during the day. The lighting was created by yellow lights.

The fence has created a frame. This has allowed me to focus in onto the fountain and onto the trees. My photo is taken in colour for my unit of colour and shape. The fence has created the shape of the image as an oval. The photo has high contrast due to the colours that are in the image. this photo was taken during the day and was in natural lighting from the sun. When I go out to take pictures again I will focus more onto the fountain and use a high shutter speed.

For this photo I used rules of thirds. This allowed me to focus onto one part of the image the point I focused on was the bottom left this allowed me to blur the flowers around the focused flower. This photo has high contrast from the bright colours from the flowers. This was taken durning the middle of the day.

This photo has the composition rule on leading lines. this photo is off centre but the railing In the shopping centre allowed me to get my leading lines. this photo was taken in yellow lighting from the shop lights. this photo has low contrast because the photo doesn’t have that much colour in the  surrounding area. When I go out to photos again I will place my camera so that the railing leads into the shop. img_0151.jpg

This photo manifests symmetry, this is due to the stairs been either side of the main door of the college. This photo was taken under white lighting that the college have in the entrance. This photo has low contrast due to the colours which are cream and white. When I go out and take these photos again I will focus more on the door and try to get the lighting to be more dull so that you can see through through the glass.

This photo manipulates the composition rule of maximalist this is because there is a lot going on in the image with the flowers in the image. This photo was taken in natural daylight the morning. in this photo the flowers were wet from the mist and the rain which created a nice look to the flowers. this photo has a high contrast due to the different colours in the image. This is my best image for maximalist because I like the way the flowers and foliage mix together.
